Heidi Montag's Epic Fail...

Heidi Montag is officially well on her way to looking like Joan Rivers and Janice Dickenson and I find it quite disgusting to say the least. I completely understand the “I would feel more beautiful inside if I looked more beautiful on the outside” mantra, but 10 plastic surgeries in one session? Get real! I find it terribly annoying that she claims to be much happier now, but can’t even move her cheeks enough to sport a smile. Heidi used to be an attractive young female who prowled around with confidence and grace. Now, she has officially aged way beyond her years, and can’t even eat a hamburger with a fork and knife. I watched The Hills final season premier last Tuesday, and couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that her face was so stiff she couldn’t even cry when her mom told her ‘the old’ Heidi was far more beautiful than ‘the new’ one. The overwhelming list of things she got “fixed” included liposuction (like she needed it), a nose job, a boob job, ear pinning, eyebrow lift, back shaping and the list goes on. On the show she made the comment that she was done for a while. Jesus….I should hope so! Considering there isn’t a whole lot left to do, I think getting any more done would be a huge mistake. US Weekly tells us that ‘Heidi and her friends have been destroyed by fame.’ I think its safe to say that statement is completely false considering a) Heidi doesn’t have any friends, and b) almost everyone from The Hills has gone on to better themselves (with the exception of Kristin) both in their personal lives by ditching the useless duds of boyfriends, and in their career paths by taking chances and experiencing new things. Cast members like Lauren, Audrina and Whitney seem to have everything under control while Heidi can’t hold a job, marries a complete douche, and wrecks her face and body - the only thing she had going for her. And yet, I can’t seem to find any sympathy for the stupid twat.

Update...

It's been about 4 weeks since I planted my indoor tomatoes, and 6 out of my 10 seeds are growing! (There should have been two more, but I got excited and tried to help the first two that broke dirt and they died prematurely :( oops!) Have a look!

It's Been A While...

I haven't had anything much to say lately, as aside from blogging about Sunday Night Suppers, I don't really know what to share. So since its been a few weeks, I'll update you on the supper situation, and then try to come up with something more creative.

Two weeks ago it was BBQ steak, potatoes, caesar salad and homemade cherry pie...

And last weekend we had a simple chicken salad. Nick just had a plain jane salad, but I added shredded cheese and apples (yum!)

Tonight, we skipped on cooking our own meal, and headed over to my parents house for beef roast, mashed potatoes and the works. It was nice not to have to cook supper for a change, as I decided to get creative this afternoon and do a bit of Mennonite baking.

As for what else is new...I officially only have one job. Hooray! As much as I will miss the additional income, it's so much less stressful having to work 3 evenings a week, and the occasional weekend. Its only been one week since I quit, and I find it very relieving coming home right at 5PM, cook supper, do dishes, and then carry on with the evening. Before, it felt like I was coming home, cooking, eating, doing dishes, and going to bed. I really didnt have a lot of me time, and I plan on changing that now. And now that its warm, I have evening walks with the dog to look forward to.

Emails From An Asshole...

A month or so ago, I stumbled accross a website that I find myself constantly constantly going back to for updates and new posts. I've posted one of my favorite entries from the website below, and if you dont understand, how it works is the guy that runs the website replies to ads online, and tries his absolute hardest to offend and/or serious piss people off. Aside from offending graphics and harsh language, it is totally worth checking out. Visit www.dontevenreply.com. It'll be worth it!

"Wood Chipper Rental"

Original ad:
670cc commercial wood chipper/shredder for sale. Little bit of rust but works great. Contact Joe - ***********@gmail.com
$4000 OBO

From Me to ***********@gmail.com:
Hi Joe,
Is the wood chipper still for sale?
Thanks,
Mike

From Joe ****** to Me:
Yes, I still have the wood chipper.

From Me to Joe ******:
I don't have $4000, but what I do have is $200 and a need for use of a wood chipper for about half an hour. Would I be able to rent it from you for $200?
Mike

From Joe ****** to Me:
I don't see why not. What are you using it for?

From Me to Joe ******:
Don't worry about that. So would I be able to swing by and pick it up in my truck, then bring it back about an hour later? I can leave my driver's license as collateral.
Mike

From Joe ****** to Me:
First you need to tell me what the chipper is being used for or you can find someone else.

From Me to Joe ******:
Okay, I'll try to explain my situation. My cat just had a litter of kittens, and I can't get rid of them. I tried giving them to my friends and putting ads online, but nobody wants them. I even tried releasing them into the wild but they keep coming back to my house. I can't stand these little fuckers pissing everywhere and clawing up my furniture. So I figure my next option is to put them down. I can't afford to have it done professionally, so I think a wood chipper would be the next most humane way. I looked up your model and saw it has a 6 inch input, which I think will be perfect for me.
Mike

From Joe ****** to Me:
.......................................wow. No.

From Me to Joe ******:
Why not? It is an easy $200 for you. Can't you just pretend I took it to mulch some wood?
Mike

From Joe ****** to Me:
No. You are a sick sick sick sick sick person.

From Me to Joe ******:
I'll give you $250 and throw in a free kitten (not mulched, of course). Plus, I thought about my plan some more, and I decided to put meow mix all around the input, and just leave the kittens near it. That way, if they get shredded, it is their own damn fault, and my hands are clean.

Saturday Night Supper

This week we had to change it up a bit due to Easter and whatnot, so we had our 'Sunday Night Supper' on Saturday Night. I originally wanted to make beef stew, but had patience issues with the nine thousand six hundred and forty three people who had an urge to go shopping at the same time as me Saturday afternoon. So instead of spending forty three hours trying to make my way through the produce section, I simply picked up some stuff for salad and headed home to use ingredients I already had. I made what I would call 'Sweet Onion Chicken' with baked potatoes, tossed salad, and homemade confetti for dessert.

I took a bite and felt pretty good for finally not failing miserably. I continued eating and asked Nick what he thought. He gave me a shoulder shrug and replied with an "it's alright". I guess I didnt achieve the "WOW" factor, but it was much better than anything I've created thus far, so I consider this a pass!

PS: Check out my PERFECT grill marks! Hooray!
